About our CCTV Drain Camera Services

In order to conduct internal pipeline inspections without damaging the pipe, Blix Environmental Solutions uses CCTV drain cameras to conduct remote inspection. These cameras are able to help identify cracks, breaks, and blockages while maintaining the integrity of the pipe. Our Technologies

Blix CCTV drain inspection cameras offer a wide variety of technologies to inspect manholes and pipes. With mobile robots in a variety of sizes and configurations, inspections are conducted efficiently and precisely. Larger diameter pipes partially filled with water are inspected using cameras mounted on float rigs. Smaller pipes of 6 inches or less are inspected using pushrod cameras which are introduced into the sewer through a cleanout.

What is CCTV drain inspection?

CCTV drain inspection is a mechanically driven crawler, equipped with a high definition camera and powerful lighting which is used to take footage of a drainage system in order to detect obstacles and flaws, or to conduct a regular general integrity inspection.

How do CCTV drain cameras work?
CCTV drain cameras are used to inspect any plumbing or drainage systems, using a waterproof, high-definition camera located at the end of a long cable. When pushed down into the drainage system, the camera relays live images on monitor that can be viewed by an expert. The images are studied in order to assess the drainage system, and immediately identify the exact location of any problem areas so that any issues can be solved efficiently.
What types of issues can impact pipelines
Pipes, drains and sewage lines can be affected by corrosion, blockages, intrusions (for example from tree roots), all of which can damage the pipeline if not attended to in time.
What are the benefits of conducting CCTV camera inspections?
  • It is the quickest method available to easily and accurately inspect the condition of drains and pipelines, allowing technicians to pinpoint the exact location of the problem
  • CCTV cameras speed up the repair of pipelines and the speed at which regular maintenance checks can take place
  • CCTV climates guesswork and delivers high accuracy of diagnosis which previously had technicians working on assumptions
  • Speed and accuracy translate into significant financial savings as issues are identified and corrected quickly, resulting in less downtime
  • Unlike traditional diagnostic methods, CCTV inspection requires zero excavation resulting in less disruption and damage to the surrounding above-ground structures and areas around pipelines
  • Real-time results and reporting is possible, with a dependable reference video, which results in quicker decision making and repair turnaround times
What is a Reel Inspection CCTV Camera?
A reel inspection CCTV camera merely covers a more comprehensive drain area due to a much longer length of cable that is wound up on an integrated reel. Modern reel inspection cameras offer an LCD screen, high quality video recording capability and typewriter functionality to facilitate better recording and reporting while on site.
What is a crawler CCTV inspection camera?
A crawler is a remote controlled, wheeled sewage camera inspection system, equipped with video capability and on-board sensors, particularly useful for performing frequent repairs or jetting pipes in complex sewage systems.
Is a report generated at the end of a CCTV drain inspection?

Blix CCTV drain inspection customers will receive a professionally complied report, along with relevant footage pertaining to the specific information that was requested.
